Dr. Anand S. Vasudev has 38 years of experience in Pediatrics after his post graduation, of which 34 years are dedicated to pediatric nephrology experience.
Working at various National and International Institutions including public and private, Dr. Vasudev has attained valuable experience in handling all kinds of complex Kidney problems in children.
Currently, Dr. Vasudev is a Sr. Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist at Indraprastha Apollo hospital, Max Hospitals and Holy Family Hospital, New Delhi.
Dr. Vasudev pioneered pediatric nephrology services in private sector in North India in early 1993. He is mentoring upcoming pediatricians in pediatric nephrology, lecturing and conducting workshops in different cities across India.
Dr. Vasudev has a number of publications in national and international Journals to his credit, and has presented papers at many national and international conferences.
Dr. Vasudev is the Editor- in-Chief of ‘IAP Text Book of Pediatric Nephrology’, Editor, ‘IAP Text Book of Radiology’, Editor, ‘Algorithms in Pediatrics’ and has contributed chapters on Pediatric Nephrology in other books.
He has been an invited Faculty at many National and International meetings and is a recognized expert in media (Print, Radio, TV)
Currently, Dr. Vasudev is the National Vice President, Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP). He is past President, IAP, Delhi State Branch, and has held key positions with IAP including Executive Board Member, Executive Director, National Joint Secretary. He has been honoured with prestigious awards like, V. Balagopal Raju award (I Prize), National IAP; Sarla Vaishnav award, Delhi IAP; Young Scientist Award, Dept. of Sciences and Technology, and many others for his work in the field of nephrology. He has been awarded “Fellow of International Medical Sciences Academy”(FIMSA) , “Fellow Indian Academy of Pediatrics” (FIAP) and Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS)
He is one of the founder members and Vice Chair of Pediatric Kidney Foundation, an NGO which helps deserving renal patients with financial and other support.
